Writing...

IMG_0042

Someone forgot to tell me that trying to be a full time writer means you have to write... a lot. The actual act or the business stuff that comes with it seems to fill my nights and weekends for now. I'm maintaining my survival job (bills must be paid after all) but slowly picking up more writing things on the side... I'm making progress.

I do leave the house when I can to do fun things and see friends, but I haven't been ranging far lately. I miss the outdoors and exploring, but I'm trying to work on it. Still. I find things to photograph no matter what I do or where I go, and this creepy (to me) doll was one among a collection at a friend's parent's house.

I have my very own iPhone now and can't stop playing with all the camera apps - this image is a creation of the CameraBag app.

  1. For a moment I thought it was a Disney illustration and not a photo at all...

Hope all the writing is taking you to good places.

A fine week to come to you Amy...

  2. Very cool that you're getting writing gigs! I hope you're able to balance your writing with getting outside and exploring as I know how much you enjoy that. At least you're able to find time to take cool photos of strange objects. (Yes this figurine is rather odd.)

  3. I do remember one writer's advice to me. He called it BIC: butt in chair.

  4. BIC is so true! I keep saying that I'm working my butt off, but really - I'm sitting so much that it's having the opposite effect. MUST get outside more.

I eventually hope to expand writing stuff to include travel writing which will force me to leave the house and explore! :D

  5. Yes, the butt suffers. One mustn't forget to move it.
